Google Releases Visual Search Analog Circle to Search for iOS

Google’s Circle Search feature on Android, which lets you select and search what’s on the screen by drawing, highlighting, or tapping on an object, is available as Google Lens for iPhone users.

The Lens visual search feature will allow iOS device users to search for anything in the Google app and Chrome browser by highlighting an area of interest on the screen and instantly jumping to search for related information. It supports working with text, images, and videos without having to take a screenshot or open a new tab. For example, the Lens feature will be useful if a user sees something they like and wants to find it in a store to buy it. Essentially, the Lens feature for iOS is similar to Circle to Search for Android. However, Lens only works in the Google app and Chrome browser, while Circle to Search can be used at any time while interacting with the device. At the moment, Circle to Search is supported only on a limited number of flagship Android smartphones. Google said that a shortcut to access the Lens visual search will soon appear in the browser’s address bar.

In addition to this feature, Google will soon allow iPhone users to use the camera icon in Google Search to take photos and get an AI-powered overview so you can quickly get more information about what you’re looking at, whether it’s a car, a building, or a statue.
