German art studio Sixmorevodka, known for its illustrations for League of Legends, has decided to take on video game development. The company’s debut project will be the fantasy action RPG Orken.
The story follows a young warrior from the Khar tribe named Koltek. After his best friend disappears, he gathers a band of allies and embarks on a perilous journey across uncharted lands. As they search, the heroes learn of an impending catastrophe threatening their homeland of Edom. Koltek fights with the warhammer “Vicari’s Bite” and harnesses the power of a totem, which grants him special abilities.
Orken’s gameplay combines elements of Dark Souls and Dragon’s Dogma. Combat revolves around endurance, dodging, and precise timing. Special abilities have a cooldown and enhance basic attacks. Enemies have a stamina bar: when it fills, they lose balance and become vulnerable to finishing moves.
Character development is tied to the “Atman” system—a totem pole that reflects Koltek’s connection to the spirit world. Players unlock new levels, gain new abilities, and combine them—they can enhance some effects and disable others. The story unfolds through dialogue and key decisions: characters react to the hero’s actions, and the allies and enemies they choose influence future events.
Orken’s announcement was accompanied by a 90-minute gameplay trailer (embedded above). A release date has not been specified, but a public demo of the game will be released on Steam on February 26th.
