Elon Musk’s Company Shows Pics of The Largest Rocket Flight
Elon Musk’s SpaceX recently conducted the ninth test of its Starship rocket. As before, SpaceX shared stunning photos of the rocket’s upper stage in space.
The first frame shows the view from the rocket on the coastline of the Gulf of Mexico near the launch point, capturing the curve of the planet and the blackness of space. The cosmodrome is indicated by the exhaust plume left by the engines of the first stage – the Super Heavy booster. For it, this is the highest point of ascent, after which the return to Earth should have begun. Alas, an emergency, as it became known later.

Another image was taken just after the two rocket elements, the Super Heavy booster and Starship upper stage, separated. This image, taken from inside Starship’s engine bay, shows Super Heavy moving away, with orange flames blazing from the top of the rocket, with the blue Earth visible in the background.

The third image shows the Starship rising to orbital altitude, leaving Earth far below. It, too, was soon destined to be destroyed: 30 minutes after liftoff, the ship began spinning out of control and was destroyed upon re-entry into the dense layers of the atmosphere.
SpaceX plans to continue test flights of Starship soon so that the mega-rocket can be put into operation.
