DeviantArt Launches Its Own AI-Powered Image Generator

DeviantArt is another website after Shutterstock that launched an AI-powered image generator. It’s called DreamUp, and it’s a modern tool that protects developers at the same time.

One of the main concerns of artists is that their work can be used to train AI models, which means that the generator can create work in their style without their consent.

In an attempt to give artists control over their work, DeviantArt lets you choose whether the tool can use their style to inspire artificial intelligence. However, if they do not agree, then when downloading files from DevianArt’s servers, their work will be protected by the “noai” directive. Naturally, the platform encourages artists to share their work with an audience on the Internet, while maintaining control over their use.

“DeviantArt encourages other creator platforms to adopt this approach,” the site said in a post.

The generator is available to Core DeviantArt subscription users, but all users can try the tool 5 times for free.
