Chinese Set World Record for Drone Show

In April, the Guinness Book of World Records added a new achievement involving drones. 10,518 quadcopters were launched into the sky over Vietnam. The previous record belonged to a show in Shenzhen in 2024 with 10,197 drones. The same company is behind both performances: the Chinese Damoda. Time after time, it perfects the art of artistic drone piloting.

The show in Vietnam was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975). The event was financed by the local company Prowtech International Vina together with foreign partners.

Drones created light patterns and scenes from the country’s life and history in the skies above Saigon Riverside Park. Everything was going well, but the main show was cancelled. The Guinness Book of World Records lists the achievement set on April 28 during the dress rehearsal of the show.
