CES 2023: Ring Demonstrated The Always Home Cam Drone For Home Patrols
In late 2020, the Ring company demonstrated a concept device that will protect homes in the future. Always Home Cam is a mini drone designed to patrol your home when you’re away. At CES 2023, the company will demonstrate in-flight hardware for the first time. However, the developers still do not mention the release date or price.
The Ring team gave some details about the device, in particular, that each floor will be patrolled by a separate instance. First of all, we are talking about the first floor.
The training will take place in a rather unusual way – the owner will “show” the UAV route, bypassing the house and its surroundings with the drone in hand, after which it will remember exactly where to fly and will control the house by making a series of sorties. It will be possible to set different routes, as well as individual waypoints – for example, to check if the stove is turned off and if the back door is closed.
If you notice something amiss, you can stop the device and rotate the camera to survey the area. The existing Ring program is exclusively designed to control the drone.
