Boeing Canceled The Manned Flight Of The Starliner Spacecraft To The ISS

NASA and Boeing on Saturday canceled the launch of the first manned flight of the Starliner spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS).

According to the schedule, the Atlas V launch vehicle with the Starliner ship was supposed to launch from the US Space Force base at Cape Canaveral at 12:25 local time (19:25 Moscow time). 3 minutes 50 seconds before the start, the countdown was stopped automatically, and what exactly caused this is still unknown. The Starliner crew for this mission consists of NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams. The next attempt to launch may take place in a day. June 5 and 6 are also booked for this mission if for some reason tomorrow’s launch fails again.

The flight test will send astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams to the ISS for a week to test the Starliner spacecraft and its subsystems before NASA certifies the transportation system for rotational flights to the ISS under the Commercial Crew Program, according to NASA.
