Bing Chat – Microsoft’s AI Tool Goes to Mobile Browsers
The Microsoft Bing team has announced that the chatbot will soon launch on mobile devices and will also be supported by other browsers.
The Bing Chat AI chatbot was introduced in February, but initially it only worked with Microsoft’s own Edge browser. At the end of July, the company allowed Bing Chat to be used in Google’s Chrome and Apple’s Safari web browsers.
“Bing Chat has received a significant number of new and useful features, so we are pleased to announce that the new [AI chatbot] Bing will soon receive expanded support for mobile and web versions of third-party browsers,” the Bing development team notes in their blog.
According to Microsoft, it “has seen the rise in popularity of the Edge browser over the last nine quarters.” It’s highly likely that Edge’s rise in popularity over the past six months has also been partly due to the fact that it’s been the only browser all this time where the Bing Chat chatbot could be used. According to the company’s statistics, users have requested Bing Chat more than a billion times. At the same time, as part of the requests, Bing Chat generated more than 750 million different digital images.
