Humanoid Robot Unitree G1 Masters Kung Fu

Unitree is one of the most famous Chinese companies producing commercial robots. After the success of the four-legged robots Go1 and Go2, the company began developing humanoids. In 2024, the G1 model was introduced, which continues to improve. If at the end of January, G1 learned to dance traditional Chinese dances, now the robot can use kung fu techniques.

A recent control algorithm update has expanded the G1’s balance capabilities and movement repertoire, giving the $16,000 robot a kung fu twist.

Previously, in May 2024, the G1 humanoid model performed a number of impressive acrobatic feats and completed fine motor tasks such as cracking nuts and making toast.

It should be noted that at the end of the video, the manufacturer recommends that owners “refrain from making any dangerous modifications or using the robot in a dangerous manner,” which, to put it mildly, is a slight contrast to the content of the video.
