Valve Begins Closed Testing of Half-Life 3

Insider Gabe Follower believes that Valve has already started testing Half-Life 3. He stated this in a video on his personal YouTube channel.

According to Gabe Follower, Valve has been actively testing hlx in recent months, involving not only company employees but also their relatives and friends in the testing. Deadlock had to undergo two major stylistic changes as a result of such playtests, and Half-Life: Alyx had to be postponed for a year to completely rework the plot. According to the data miner, an important stage has come for hlx.

“If [hlx] survives the holiday break and there are no major issues during close testing, development will continue at a healthy pace and an announcement in 2025 could be a possibility,” says Gabe Follower.

It is still impossible to say with complete certainty whether the game will be called Half-Life 3, but in essence it will be exactly that, data miners are sure. There have been no official comments from Valve so far, but insiders have been talking about the active development stage for several months.
