Levi’s Will Advertise Models Created With AI

Fashion brand Levi’s has announced a partnership with digital fashion studio Lalaland.ai to create artificial intelligence (AI)-generated avatars to “increase the diversity” of its models.

The shoot will be created in partnership with Amsterdam-based digital fashion studio LaLaLand, which has been developing AI models since 2019.

Fashion and technology are both art and science. We are thrilled to be partnering with LaLaLand, a company with such high quality technology that can help continue our journey towards a more diverse and inclusive customer experience,” said Amy Hershkoff Balls, Levi’s Head of Global New and Digital Technology Strategy.

We know that our clients want models that look like them… so we continue to diversify models in terms of size and body type, age and skin color,” the company said.

Levi’s says the partnership with Lalaland.ai could help the brand in its quest to increase its coverage of photo models so that shoppers can see Levi’s products on more people who look like themselves.
