The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake To Get Rework Of Its Core Mechanics

Journalists from the MP1st portal have found out some details about the upcoming remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion – according to their information, the game is being completely reworked.

As reported by MP1st, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be “completely reworked” on Unreal Engine 5 as part of the project. It was previously reported that the original Gamebryo engine was to be responsible for gameplay and physics.

Also on the website of a former Virtuos employee were details of six gameplay systems that will be reworked in the new version:

blocking blows – inspired by Souls action games and ACT games (what exactly is meant by this abbreviation is unclear), since the old mechanics “got boring and irritated”;

endurance – designed to be less annoying for the player, and an exhausted hero would be harder to knock down;

stealth – the stealth level indicator will become more visible;

archery – will be convenient when playing from both the first and third person;

reaction to receiving damage – added for the player and NPC. In addition, the damage calculation methods were reworked;

interface – will be made more intuitive and pleasing to the eye for “young players”.

According to insider Nate the Hate, the remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is currently scheduled for release in June. However, don’t expect the game to show up at the upcoming Developer_Direct presentation.
