China’s Kinetica-1 Rocket Ends Final Flight With Self-Destruction

On Friday, December 27, the Chinese company Zhongke Yuhang (CAS Space) conducted an unsuccessful mid-air test of the Kinetica-1 launch vehicle.

The statement said the Kinetica-1 launch vehicle was launched from the Dongfeng test site in northern China at 09:03 local time. A malfunction occurred in the third stage engine of the launch vehicle three seconds after launch. The safety system was then triggered, causing the rocket to self-destruct.
