343 Industries Confirms It Will Continue Development of Halo 

343 Industries has assured fans that it continues to develop future Halo content after the studio faced significant staff cuts. On Wednesday, Microsoft confirmed plans to lay off roughly 4.5% of the US tech giant’s 220,000 workforce (about 10,000 people).

343 Indstries was formed by Microsoft in 2007 following Bungie’s departure from the Xbox home to control the Halo franchise and develop its core games. Since then, she has developed several games including Halo 4, Halo 5: Guardians and the latest, Halo Infinite, in addition to the Master Chief collection.

“Halo and the Master Chief are here to stay.  343 Industries will continue to develop Halo now and into the future, including epic stories, multiplayer, and more that make Halo great.”

The short message was signed by the head of the studio, Pierre Hintze.
