Honor X50 GT Introduced

Honor today officially launched the Honor X50 GT smartphone on the home market. The new product is built on a not-so-recent Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 single-chip system, however, the creators believe that the smartphone is quite suitable for gaming. For example, the average frame rate in Genshin Impact is 59.53 FPS.

The developers equipped the new product with an AMOLED display with a resolution of 2652 × 1200 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 600 Hz. The panel used provides 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the screen area. The smartphone is protected from moisture and dust according to the IP53 standard.

The Honor X50 GT is powered by an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 microprocessor (one Cortex-X2 core with a frequency of up to 3.2 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores with a frequency of up to 2.7 GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores with a frequency of up to  2.0 GHz). An Adreno 730 accelerator is provided for graphics processing. The built-in Snapdragon X65 modem ensures operation in fifth generation (5G) communication networks.

Autonomous operation is ensured by a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5800 mAh with support for wired charging up to 35 W.

At the top of the display there is a hole in which the 8-megapixel front camera (f/2.0) is located. The main camera is located in a massive round block on the back of the case.  It combines a 108-megapixel sensor (1/1.67-inch optical format) with an f/1.75 aperture with a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and is also complemented by a dual-LED flash.

Previously, Honor CMO Harrison Zhang said the new phone will highlight the GT series’ “extreme commitment to performance.” The company announced that the device would be presented on January 4 at the end of December 2023 and then showed the appearance of the new device.

Prices are as follows: 12/256 GB – $280, 16/256 GB – $325, 16/512 GB – $355, 16 GB/1 TB – $395.
